Fiona Martin
CELEBRANT
A Guernsey Press article in 2021 was the catalyst for Fiona becoming a civil celebrant. In this role she enjoys using the skills developed in a long career in nursing, health and teaching. Communication, adaptability, alongside positivity and quick thinking are invaluable for a civil celebrant.
Since becoming a celebrant, Fiona has been amazed by the range of places where ceremonies can take place, as well as the individuality of each celebration. Working with couples and families to provide something unique has been a joy, as well as a learning experience.
To relax, Fiona loves her ballroom dancing lessons, particularly learning the foxtrot, and also researching the stories in her family tree.
Fiona always responded quickly and answered any questions we had. She captured ‘our story’ very, very well. It was an absolutely beautiful ceremony conducted by Fiona.
